This is a really interesting concept.

It'd probably be overly complex but do you think it would be possible to hook it up to a simple motion sensor that would trigger the act of playing one of the preset conversation openers?

You'd probably have to use something other than an ipod but this increases the chances of being heard and lessens the chances of the recording playing again during an actual conversation (after the opener has been used). Simply code the thing to ignore any further motion sensor triggers after the first until properly reset by the wearer.

Definitely useful in that way. Online stores are quite different and you have a search function for that but it could be good to think about new ways of searching items online. The peculiarity of this device is fluency: you don't have to give attention to it all the time. On screen based application, like a website, is slightly different because all your attention is on the screen ;-)

This would be a great way to find those sale items that are hidden between the pricey ones - being the thrifty shopper that I am, I know that feature would be high marks in my book. Any thoughts on incorporating this into online stores?
